David Valger – Founder & President
Mr. Valger founded DVO Real Estate and is responsible for the overall management, operations and investing activities of the firm. A seasoned industry veteran, Mr. Valger has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate investing and finance, including originating, structuring, underwriting and managing real estate and corporate private equity transactions valued at more than $6.3 billion. Previously, Mr. Valger was a partner with RCG Longview Debt Funds, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and underwriting a variety of real estate mezzanine and preferred equity transactions, investing more than $450 million in over 25,000 multifamily units. While there, he developed and led an exclusive Fannie Mae platform.
Prior to RCG Longview Debt Funds, Mr. Valger founded Genesys Holdings, a technology-based service provider and led the sales and marketing efforts of a multi-national packaged goods company called NutriPlus LLC. He is a former member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the UJA/Federation of New York and a former Board member of The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. Mr. Valger received a B.A. from Binghamton University and earned an M.B.A in Real Estate & Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Sorochinsky – Principal
Mr. Sorochinsky joined the management team of DVO Real Estate as a Principal in 2018. He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CEI, a strategic partner of DVO Real Estate, where he oversees the company’s $5 billion real estate portfolio. From 2001 through 2005, Mr. Sorochinsky focused in the value-add multifamily space, leading the purchase of over 70 properties comprising of 3,500 apartment units and retail. In 2010, before large numbers of developers jumped into the multifamily development space, Mr. Sorochinsky saw an opportunity to build Class A apartments in top markets around the US and led CEI to amass a development pipeline of nearly 5,000 luxury apartments with a projected value in excess of $2.8 billion. Prior to 2001, Mr. Sorochinsky practiced law at two international law firms – Perkins Coie and Milbank Tweed – representing creditors in distressed real estate debt and equity reorganizations. Mr. Sorochinsky received a B.A. from the University of California Irvine and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.

Ryan Shore – Director, Acquisitions
Mr. Shore is primarily responsible for DVO Real Estate’s acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Shore has more than 12 years of experience in commercial real estate investing and finance, including originating senior debt and mezzanine loans, debt restructurings and equity investments. Throughout his career, Mr. Shore has originated and managed over $2.6 billion in total capitalization of real estate transactions. Previously, Mr. Shore was an associate with Bank of America where he managed a $500 million loan portfolio of retail, office and residential properties, restructured more than $1 billion in senior syndicated notes related to under-performing assets and originated over $140 million in new loans. Mr. Shore received a B.A. in Finance from Boston University’s School of Management and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.

Alla Sorochinsky – Managing Director
Ms. Sorochinsky heads asset management and development for DVO Real Estate as well as Cypress Equity Investments, ensuring that DVO functions at the highest level of efficiency, integrity and quality. Ms. Sorochinsky has worked with DVO’s value-add portfolio, adding significant value through heavy renovation, effective financing strategies and top-notch asset management. She also became instrumental in creating an asset management platform for new development assets. Previously, Ms. Sorochinsky was the financial controller of several publicly traded technology companies. Ms. Sorochinsky graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in International Economics and received a Master’s degree from the University of Southern California.

Bruce Fairty – Chief Development Officer
Bruce Fairty joined Cypress Equity Investments as Chief Development Officer with thirty-five years of multifamily real estate development experience and investment background as a principal. Immediately prior to joining CEI, Bruce was active as a developer in the San Francisco Bay Area, first as a partner with the Castle Group Company and then as a partner with Thompson-Dorfman Partners. At Thompson-Dorfman and the Castle Group Bruce oversaw the acquisition, entitlement and development of approximately 4,400 units in San Francisco and the Bay Area. At Castle he led the company’s efforts in the use of modular construction processes for multifamily projects.
Prior to moving to San Francisco Bruce was a developer in Florida and founded Heritage Development Company in 1996 in partnership with Chicago’s Pritzker family where he oversaw all aspects of the development process for over 5,600 units. Between 1990-1995, he acquired over 6,000 REO and distressed debt units as Co-founder of Bailey Capital Company in partnership with the Whitehall Fund and Apollo Real Estate Advisors. Previously, Bruce was CFO of Trammell Crow Residential’s Central Florida Division and later Area Partner, responsible for overseeing the development of 8,500 multifamily units across four regional divisions. Mr. Fairty received his undergraduate degree from Drew University and MBA from Rutgers University.
Oleg Sabel – Special Counsel, Structuring, Closing
Mr. Sabel serves as DVO Real Estate’s outside legal counsel and oversees the legal structuring and closings of DVO Real Estate’s transactions. Throughout Mr. Sabel’s career, he has represented a wide range of clients, including leading private equity firms, hedge funds, mezzanine funds, REITS and lenders in national commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures and development transactions. He has extensive experience in structuring complex joint venture agreements, managing tenant representation, and negotiating and conducting legal due diligence in real estate transactions. Mr. Sabel earned a B.S. from Cornell University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Kristine Shalikiani – Assistant Vice President, Finance & Accounting
Ms. Shalikiani, CPA, is responsible for managing, planning, and reporting DVO Real Estate’s financial and accounting activities. Ms. Shalikiani has over 6 years of public accounting and tax experience. For the past 3 years at DDK & Company LLP, she has been a member of both the Tax and Assurance teams, providing accounting, tax, assurance, and financial reporting services across various industries, with a primary focus on real estate. After demonstrating her expertise in tax compliance and return preparation, Ms. Shalikiani expanded her focus to audit and financial reporting, gaining proficiency in both GAAP and special purpose frameworks reporting. This comprehensive knowledge gives her a distinct advantage in understanding both the tax and audit aspects of accounting. In addition to providing tax compliance and auditing services, she advised on complex real estate transactions and partnership agreements. Ms. Shalikiani also consulted on complex tax issues, operations, and internal controls of businesses across various asset classes in the real estate industry.
Ms. Shalikiani holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from School of Business and Management of Technology, BSU (Belarusian State University) and an M.S. in Accounting from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. She is also a licensed CPA in New York State.

Victoria Goldenberg – Assistant Vice President, Administration & Investor Relations
Mrs. Goldenberg’s primary responsibilities include managing DVO Real Estate’s day to day administration and investor relations needs, as well as driving the business’s marketing and fundraising efforts. Mrs. Goldenberg has 7 years of experience in marketing, operations, and administration. Prior to joining DVO Real Estate, Mrs. Goldenberg worked as a Coordinator at Universal Music Group, supporting the international marketing team on global campaigns for major artists such as Taylor Swift, Drake, and Post Malone. Mrs. Goldenberg graduated cum laude from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Psychology, Media & Communications.
